I would do it again but I’m glad I have already been through it. Last week was professionally challenging in a very particular way. I had to learn to be deeply empathic yet very self focused at the same time which required building more strength in that neural bridge we all have, women more than men apparently, the corpus callosum.
ReBuilding the Brain Bridge
By being able to stay in contact with my left hemisphere’s need for logic and objectivity, I was dealing with a very intelligent individual, and the right side, the person was also very creative, I had to pivot quickly for the most responsiveness. All the while I wanted to empower this person as well as myself. To be loving was my goal.

Work As An Interpersonal Health Summit
This work didn’t go well at first. In fact I failed hard for the first hour. Then something happened inside. I was able to pivot my own self-talk when what I really wanted to do was take flight. Instead, my relationship to myself stretched. This took another hour or so. What I started practicing, grounding, inner coherence, guided intuitive forecasting, in turn enabled me to gain momentum with helping the other person become more centered.
After a full week of these sorts of challenges ending on Friday with such a clear reset resulted in a sense of gratitude perfect for leading me into the Thanksgiving holidays coming up.
Brain Upgrades: The Ultimate Holiday Elixir
I hope you have a story that gives you hope and brings clarity to your life. Regardless of the outcome of the past week’s events, it is possible to learn from it. In fact, what I’m getting comfortable with is the fact that my brain’s neuroplasticity changes enormously from these challenges.
Therefore, I’ve had a major rewire and now have a “new normal” with which to go about my life. Integrating these changes with writing is helping me embody the possibilities going forward. One thing is for certain, I feel 40% happier than I did two weeks ago both professionally and personally. So, the work to fortify that brain bridge has been well worth it and adds its own celebratory effect to the upcoming holiday season.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
